So far, around 4,608 Telegram anonymous numbers have been restricted, and 1,530 Telegram usernames have been banned, all of which are collectibles (NFTs) on TON blockchain.
This usually happens because bad actors acquire these usernames and numbers and use them for shady activity. The only way Telegram can respond to that is by restricting their use inside the app.
It is important to understand that this does not mean they are banned on the blockchain, since that is not technically possible. The NFTs can still be sent, traded, and placed on auctions. You simply lose the ability to use them inside the Telegram ecosystem.
So be careful and pay attention when buying numbers or usernames, so you do not end up with a restricted number or a banned username. You can always check https://t.co/m4o1wVFCtU beforehand to know whether it has been banned or restricted.
