According to insider leaks, Sheldon went to Hong Kong a week before the incident and met with Gavin (former contract lead) and Amy (new contract lead, with additional leaks claiming she is Sheldon’s mistress). Amy’s X: https://t.co/aNs1vPL7OK Additionally, it is alleged that two days before BitMart announced the cessation of operations, the contract lead position had already been taken over by Amy. It is also reported that all announcements, withdrawal restrictions, and other measures were planned solely by Amy. Current leaks also claim that Sheldon, Gavin, Amy, Roham and others are all in Hong Kong. If surveillance or other public resources can help verify this information, we hope insiders can provide clues. Furthermore, according to the leakers, these core personnel may be involved in related profit allocations. There are also reports that before the incident, Roham still required each BD to continue promoting wealth management products. When BMX crashed, some BDs raised concerns, but the reply remained “nothing to worry about.” Subsequently, agents and clients added the relevant personnel into a TG group hoping Roham would explain, but Roham only replied “I have been fired,” and later privately called to blame the BD for creating the group. Immediately after, he deleted all of his Telegram and WeChat. When someone contacted Gavin, he replied that they should go find the group leader because “he’s gone.” Additionally, there are leaks that during BitMart’s previous security incident, it was claimed that Sheldon’s in-laws intervened to help resolve part of the issue, yet a substantial portion of the losses remain unpaid to this day. This time, an unverified leak claims that Sheldon’s affair was discovered by his wife, leading his in-laws to refuse any further assistance. Below is the leaker’s compilation of publicly available information about Sheldon’s wife, including Xiaohongshu posts, photos, and other materials for the public to review and judge. #Bitmart @sheldonbitmart

BitMart is shutting down and even on the way out they're extracting value from users. One user tried to withdraw $2. Minimum withdrawal was $5, so they deposited $10 to qualify. Fees took $11. Net result? Turned $2 into $1 and gave BitMart $10 for the privilege. The backstory is worse. BitMart got hacked for $196M in 2021. Funds went straight to Tornado Cash. They promised reimbursements that never came. Then in May 2026 a proof-of-reserves leak showed ~$169M on paper, but almost all of it was BMX, their own token. Actual USDT on hand for withdrawals? Reportedly $650K. BMX dumped 60%. Withdrawals stalled. Margin trading force liquidated. AMM bots suspended. Full wind-down announced. All within 24 hours. This is why self-custody matters. Not your keys, not your coins isn't a meme. Every cycle produces another exchange collapse that proves the point.

Man, man... Rarely see something like this! BitMart has been refusing withdrawals over $100 since the weekend. If you try a smaller amount, you pay about $5 fee per attempt—and still have to wait for the credit. I looked at how users are testing this right now. One sold their remaining altcoins, split the proceeds into $99 slices and paid $5.1 for each one via Solana and Tron. As of her report, none of them had arrived. That's more than a five‑percent discount per attempt before it's even known whether the payment arrives. A mid‑four‑digit balance thus splits into more than a hundred individual requests, and because the fee is tied to the transaction rather than the amount, it hits small accounts hardest. Someone with $300 pays proportionally the same as someone with $30,000—only the latter never gets through. What matters to me here is how they are sorting it. In the last 24 hours, not a single withdrawal above $25,000 went through for any address linked to the exchange, and during that period #Bitcoin saw no outflows at all. The exchange cites manual review—identity, source of funds, sanctions compliance—as the reason for delays. Such a review uniformly slows every request; it doesn’t create a clean cut at a round number. A limit that runs on the amount tells me something about available liquidity, not about regulations. At BitMEX the pull‑out looked different last week: deadlines were given, end dates announced, and withdrawals were processing. Here there is a roadmap until January 2027 and a gate whose opening is set by the other side. That’s the part I take too lightly in calm market phases. A balance on an exchange feels like ownership as long as withdrawals work. It is a claim, and its value is determined by the debtor. At BitMart this week the value stands at $99 per attempt, minus $5 for processing. https://t.co/tltuQtWZo5

The insider says hello – BITMART token drops before the announcement! On Friday, July 24, the exchange token of #BitMart lost more than half its value in the hour between 11 am and 12 pm UTC. The announcement that the exchange would wind down its entire trading operation came on Sunday at 01:30 UTC, about 38 hours later. Anyone who sold at Friday noon was therefore closer to the decision than the person who officially ran the exchange. The obvious explanation would be the overall market, but that doesn’t apply here. Ethereum fell less than one percent that Friday. Even the contagion from the BitMEX wind‑down, which became known a day earlier, doesn’t explain the plunge: the KuCoin token, in the same category and with the same risk, lost less than two percent that day. Then Sunday arrives, revealing how tight the circle of insiders was. At 00:13 UTC the exchange announced a new listing: ForTon, deposits from noon, trading to start at...

Well, I finally got the answer. Apparently, even the CEO didn’t know the exchange was shutting down until the announcement was already public. So imagine how confused everyone else inside must have been. That listing post 105 mins before shutdown now makes a lot more sense. And honestly, it says everything about how the exchange was being run behind the scenes.

BitMart announced a new listing at 1:12pm. At 2:57pm, they announced they were shutting down. That’s just 105 mins apart. You don’t go from “welcome to BitMart” to “we’re shutting down” in 105 mins unless someone inside had no idea what was happening. Or they knew and simply didn’t care enough to stop the listing announcement. Either way, that says a lot about how things were being run.

The market is so messed up that it announced two exchanges will close within a week. In this situation, some of the worst things are as follows: Imagine you buy the exchange token because the exchange promises good returns, or you invest in altcoins because exchange tokens are lucrative, then a news hits and there is a massive dump. An even worse scenario is: Imagine you are using one of these exchanges, your assets are stored there, and then you go into the army, or you end up in prison, or you make a transaction and delete the app (many people I know have done this) and you don’t follow the news, and later you find that neither your assets nor the exchange exist… Therefore, if you don’t want to experience such a situation, constantly monitor your assets and the exchange you use, or use a cold wallet, which is the safest option.

BitMart Is Shutting Down After 9 Years. Its native token $BMX has already crashed 87% in just the last 3 days. The exchange says trading will end on August 26, marking the end of its nine-year journey. And here's what many users fear next: Since everyone is forced to withdraw their funds, withdrawal fees could become significantly higher before the shutdown. If you still have assets on BitMart, don't wait until the last minute. @BitMartExchange

Holding an exchange token doesn't always mean you're safe. The recent @BitMartExchange situation is a reminder: • The CEO was reportedly fired just 2 days before the exchange announced its shutdown, with no official notice beforehand. • 58 withdrawal requests were created after the closure but were never processed. • One trader in China reportedly has over $2.6M stuck on the exchange. As a result, the BitMart exchange token crashed from around $0.30 to $0.06, an 80% drop. Not your keys, not your coins.

BitMart Is Closing. Here's What That Actually Tells You. BitMart wound down after nearly nine years. New registrations, deposits, and orders started phasing out July 26. Trading ends August 26. $BMX dropped roughly 58% in 24 hours. It's the second exchange closure announcement in three days, following BitMEX. The former global CEO said he learned about the decision after it was already public. @Bitget is moving in the opposite direction in the same week. Nearly $70B in TradFi perpetual volume in Q2, second globally by market share. Expanding tokenized equity access through licensed rails, adding regulatory registrations to support it. Running an exchange used to mean listing tokens and attracting traders. That's no longer sufficient. What's now separating survivors from wind-downs: • Regulatory readiness, not just jurisdiction-shopping • Institutional partnerships that bring a second demand source beyond retail • Product diversification into TradFi and tokenized assets • Revenue that doesn't depen
