    Almost all chains are destined to be ghost chains. All chains struggle with the following- A) Number of onchain users diminishing B) Zero killer apps. The equivalent of metaverse land. Terrible investment for anyone except insiders who are able to dump at elevated prices.

    The XPL downfall is insane Late 2025 everyone thought price was gonna be in the hundreds, that Plasma would become the standard chain for CEX transactions simply due to the cheaper costs and faster speeds compared to ETH & Sol But now. almost nobody is using the chain, mostly due to controversies surrounding the team dumping their tokens, with the token immediately falling 50%. The team claimed that they were "liquidity provisions for market makers", Wintermute labelled it "dumping on retail for exit liquidity" Fast forward to today, the token is sitting at under a cent, and the chain is struggling to make over $10 a day in revenue
