    two massive financial innovations: 1. perpetual contracts with no expiry - net new product being used by crypto exchanges/protocols like @binance @coinbase @injective @HyperliquidX 2. binary options markets settling at 0 or 1 based on expiry - net new product being used by @Polymarket and @Kalshi it’s interesting to think through how these two distinctly different financial products have grown so much in the last 5+ years in terms of volumes, users, venture funding, revenues, etc… however we are still so early imo - perps haven’t been integrated into the world of mainstream finance - commodities, FX, equities - trillion dollar markets. binary options distribution isn’t perfected. however both have proved that they provide retail or non-sophisticated users a better product experience than what is currently being offered in the market. the opportunity for new financial applications is now and it’s leveraging net new products like perps - we are still in the first innings of innovating the legacy T
