The complexity is handled by solvers: They use their own liquidity on the destination chain to fill the order instantly. The system later settles them using the assets locked on the source chain. On the architecture side: ERC-7683 defines the shared intent interface. Smart contracts run on both EVM (Solidity) and Starknet (Cairo).
