    Esther: It seems that the Hong Kong Consensus Conference has about 100 teams working on prediction markets On February 14, Conflux Hong Kong regional head Esther Jiang shared her observations of the Hong Kong Consensus Conference during the WuTalk Blockchain New Year tea‑party AMA, stating that there are a large number of teams developing prediction markets, “it seems there are 100 teams doing prediction markets,” with backgrounds ranging from regulated brokerages to even Macau casinos. At the same time, many Chinese teams are emerging to create stablecoins, not limited to USD‑pegged ones; some application‑layer teams also want to issue their own stablecoins. Furthermore, she believes that current attempts by Western exchanges such as Coinbase and Kraken to enter the Chinese‑language market may be trying to profit from the FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) surrounding the “cosmic” narrative in the Chinese region. Ultimately, however, Chinese capital is abundant and trading is active, and they possess advantages that offshore exchanges lack, such as stock token services, aiming to compete on product and user experience.

The director would like to emphasize: each token listing on Hashkey's Hong Kong platform requires separate approval from the Hong Kong SFC; currently, fewer than 20 tokens are available to retail investors. USDT deposits/withdrawals to date only support Tron and Ethereum. The SFC's shift in attitude toward Chen Fengxia—from unfamiliar to familiar and now to approved—offers significant insights for the future: 1. Document No. 42 reopens a window for RWA development in Hong Kong, and the SFC's recognition provides guidance on chain preferences for RWA asset issuers. 2. Chief Executive John Lee has announced that stablecoin licenses will be issued next month; similarly, the SFC's approval will influence stablecoin issuers' chain preferences, with the HKMA's preferences also carrying substantial weight. In short, compliance is a small step; short‑term trading volume and price show no noticeable difference, but in the long run, Chen Fengxia's Hong Kong strategy is gradually emerging. In a bear market with heavy snowfall, builders press on undeterred!
