$ASTS another blatant example of algo manipulation. ASTS was naturally trading higher in pre market after their successful launch and deployment of their 3 block-2 sats. At 9:30am, algos spiked the space basket while tanking ASTS to mean revert the basket. And that is how correlations are severely distorting price discovery in the short to medium term

$ASTS announced the successful orbital launch of BlueBird satellites 8, 9, and 10 That brings the total BB2 satellites deployed to 4 Management also said • BlueBirds 11, 12, and 13 are in final prep for shipment • Satellites through BlueBird 37 are already in production This is positive progress, but I still want to see management revise guidance. Their year-end target remains 45-60 deployed BB2 satellites • Though Q1 wording is a bit vague Even if $ASTS deploys through BB37, that would only reach 69% of the low end of guidance My main concern remains deployment capacity. New Glenn was expected to be a core part of the rollout, but it now seems unlikely we see more than one launch from them this year Unless $SPCX capacity increases or ASTS signs another launch provider, the current guidance looks very aggressive

$ASTS more succinctly, there’s only one pure play. That’s what the market has yet to perceive

Yesterday I had multiple conversations about this very dynamic in play. I don’t think Elon is done. And while there are valid arguments why SpaceX won’t/couldn’t buy $ASTS we know Elon pushes the limits as far as possible and often gets what he ultimately wants. This current administration is also the most accommodating of megatech of any administration when it comes to regulating. While I give it very low odds, I don’t rule out a potential takeover offer. It would totally secure Starlink’s dominance in D2D if they pulled it off.
