do you know don corleone never robbed a bank? that was kinda beneath him......instead, he built relationships and attended the right meetings. he made the right proposals and waited until the system handed him exactly what he wanted. no forced entry or alarm triggered. just a legitimate transaction that happened to empty the vault. in july 2024, a group calling themselves the golden boys quietly accumulated enough compound governance tokens to push through a proposal transferring $25 million in comp from the dao treasury into a multisig they fully controlled. they did not hack anything ( the godfather playbook) they voted and made three proposals across months , each one testing how the community responded. learning where the resistance was thin and where the apathy ran deep. voter turnout hovered around four to five percent of total supply which meant a well funded attacker needed to move only a small amount of capital to own the outcome. the community was not robbed ,it was simply outvoted by people who showed up when everyone else stayed home. this is the godfather's problem in defi ( a very crazy one). the most dangerous transactions are the ones that look completely normal....a proposal that moves through governance,gets the required votes,clears the execution threshold and the treasury walks out the door dressed as a legitimate decision. no exploit signature to flag or abnormal contract call to catch. just a number moving from one address to another with full protocol approval. this is @DroseraNetwork cue a drosera treasury trap does not watch for hacks,it watches for the setup ; •unusual accumulation of governance tokens over a short window. •vote concentration patterns that do not match historical participation. •proposal execution paths that route funds to addresses the protocol has never interacted . •outflow velocity that breaks every baseline the treasury has ever shown the moment those signals appear in the same block window,shouldrespond fires. not waiting till after the vote passes or after the funds move. Does the new Fed Chair Warsh really understand crypto investing? Yesterday, the nominee for the next Fed Chair, Warsh, disclosed his personal financial situation to Congress. As an LP, he invested in many crypto projects through some funds and VC firms. Seeing this, many people claimed Warsh is the most crypto‑savvy Fed Chair in history; in fact, that's not true, and honestly, it sounds like he's trying to force a connection. The external investments Warsh disclosed were basically made through VC funds. When people say Warsh invested in projects like Polymarket, Compound, Solana, dYdX, those investments were actually made by the two firms DCM and AVF, in which Warsh acted as an LP. Notably, Warsh's LP investment in DCM was less than $500,000, and his stake in AVF was also small. If you understand how VC operations work, you know that VCs typically do not consult LPs on project investments, especially for such small LP stakes. Warsh may have only learned about these investments when he received the quarterly reports from the VCs. Warsh's largest LP investments are in two firms: Juggernaut Fund LP (two positions each exceeding $50 million) and THSDFS LLC (about 24 series, some single ones up to $5 million), and he did not disclose the holdings of those institutions. It is important to note that Warsh has explicitly pledged to sell these external investments (i.e., redeem his stakes in those funds or VC shares) once his chair nomination is confirmed. Therefore, Warsh is far from being the most crypto‑savvy Fed Chair; he merely invested in a few VC firms that happen to have crypto projects, and his share in those VCs is tiny. However, we can say Warsh will be the richest Fed Chair in history, with personal assets exceeding $100 million, not counting his wife (who has personal assets approaching $2 billion and is one of the heirs of the Estée Lauder family). The previous richest Fed Chair was Powell, with personal assets over $50 million.
