BREAKING: Taiko's bridge security has been compromised.

Over $1.7M has already been stolen after attackers exploited a flaw in the protocol's verification mechanism.

The exploiter has begun moving funds to exchanges, while still holding more than $1.5M in $ETH.

#Taiko is now warning users to withdraw from all bridges immediately and has requested exchanges to halt $TKO deposits.

Taiko Suffers a $1.7M Exploit 🚨 "NO WAY" ... Another protocol has joined the growing list of crypto exploits.

Taiko was reportedly exploited for approximately $1.7 million, with the attacker already beginning to move and cash out part of the stolen funds. So far, the exploiter has deposited 1.99 million $TKO , worth around $189,000, to MEXC, likely as part of the liquidation process. However, the majority of the stolen funds remain untouched.

Funds Already Moved: 1.99M TKO deposited to MEXC, Estimated Value: $189K .

The attacker's wallet is still holding a significant amount of ETH, meaning the story may not be over yet. As investigators and on-chain analysts continue tracking the funds, all eyes will be on whether the remaining $ETH gets moved to exchanges, bridged across chains, or sent through laundering services.

For now, the exploiter is sitting on roughly $1.55 million in ETH, while a portion of the stolen #TKO has already made its way to a centralized exchange.
