However, not all sideways movement is bottom‑fishing; some is selling and some is cutting losses after a soft pullback. At this point, market makers may see their USDT balance shrink while their coin holdings increase, so they manually dump the price to lock tokens and protect profit. But contracts are still available, allowing both long and short positions to be taken.
