    I’ve watched countless projects get labeled as “Ethereum killers.” Most of them are already dead. Just look at $DOT. Back in 2021, everyone was hyping relay chains, parachains, crowdloans, and slot auctions. The FOMO pushed DOT all the way to $54. After all that, parachains failed to generate meaningful adoption, while the token kept inflating year after year. Now DOT is trading around $0.84, down roughly 99% from its peak. 99% collapse for a project once praised for its advanced technology. Investors suffered massive losses, confidence disappeared, and the ecosystem slowly faded away. So much for the so called “tech prince” and another “Ethereum killer.”

    What does 200 buys on DOT and only 1 sell look like? Something like that. I chose to do a small but constant DCA on two coins since 2022, DOT and ATOM. Pleasantly surprised by how they performed in 2021. Even though I got relatively good averages $3.80 and $5 and had the chance to sell at 2x+ something broke. I sold 25% of DOT at $10.2 when everyone says the bull market is starting, if I were more inspired I would sell everything. I realized that small‑amount long‑term investments (not classic threshold DCA) are much more suitable for assets that do NOT have as large drawdown potential as altcoins or even BTC.
