The "Governance Theater" era of crypto is officially dead. For a decade, the market just accepted a broken premise: that tokens shouldn't have a claim on protocol revenue. Founders loved it bc it allowed them to dodge fundamental valuations. That structural arbitrage is over. The market is maturing and demanding an actual adult business model: sustainable cash flow. Very interesting data by Pix. Raydium, Pumpfun, and XBorg with the biggest buybacks when looking at amount bought back vs circulating supply. Followed by Hyperliquid, Jupiter and Kaito. Buybacks can be a good way to share the upside of the business with holders. Most of the projects listed here finance the buybacks with their business revenue. Good to see smaller market cap projects like XBorg also implementing buybacks, partnered with them to bring some awareness to this
