Every cycle the narrative crowd says the same thing: “This project is dead.” “There are better coins now.” “No one uses this anymore.” I heard the exact same things about ZEC before it ran 20X. Narratives follow price. I trade structure.

$ZEC social metrics just spiked hard, and if you've been watching the chart, you know what that's meant before. Zcash engagements are up 1,415% over the last 6 months, currently sitting at 624M total with 4M in just the last 24 hours. Social dominance jumped 179% in the past week alone. Sentiment is at 96%, a near 52-week high. AltRank hit #3 across all crypto today. The pattern here matters. Look at the LunarCrush 6-month chart. Both times engagement spiked sharply in October and November, price followed into its biggest moves of the cycle. The social volume led price, not the other way around. Right now engagement is spiking again from a long base, with price still sitting well below its November high of $698. What's driving it: @chamath and @RayDalio both publicly flagged Bitcoin's lack of privacy this week. @mert has been accumulating and talking about it for months. @EliBenSasson bullish on ZK tech broadly. The narrative around financial privacy is getting louder as AI surveillance accelerates. The last two times the crowd showed up before the chart did, ZEC moved. The crowd just showed up again.

What needs to be watched here for #ZEC is if this was just a micro symmetrical triangle within a macro, rising parallel channel. Price has pushed through the upper rail of the parallel channel. Will it retest and hold or fall back through? Remember that rising channels like this, after a macro downtrend, are typically bearish. As price action matures, you must constantly look at all the trend possibilities to determine what's actually going on.

Due to the Bitcoin movement, #ZEC (and all altcoins) made moves higher. Zcash broke up out of its symmetrical triangle as well and is stalling into HTF resistance right at the .702 as it has many times before. As with Bitcoin, I don't see this as a major trend reversal at this point. A higher high has yet to be made.
