Can we use @ethena's #usde to gauge the revival of the DeFi market?
Recently the DeFi market has been plagued by hacking incidents. DeFi is increasingly shifting toward stablecoins and the RWA market.
When I model the market, I assess overall capital inflows and outflows using USDT and USDC. However, I wondered whether Ethena's USDe could be used to forecast DeFi market recovery, so I thought about it on my own.
Point 1
USDe is no longer the USDe that earned money through delta‑neutral basis trading in our memory. It has now transitioned to stablecoins, T‑bills, and lending services. This aligns closely with the direction of the DeFi market.
Point 2
USDe is a representative project that converts stablecoins with the purpose of earning interest. While the issuers of USDT and USDC do not directly provide interest payments, Ethena's USDe does.
Point 3
USDe is mostly used in on‑chain activities rather than on centralized exchanges, so it can explain part of the activation of on‑chain stablecoins.

When nobody is looking, that's the opportunity. Rather than blindly jumping into on‑chain DeFi and exposing oneself to hacking risks, consider what the USDe issuance volume signifies and whether money is flowing back on‑chain.
This allows active participation in tokens of related native DeFi projects or farming events aligned with CEXs.
In coin investing, the ability to link one phenomenon to another event is highly important.
It seems we can leverage the high‑engagement stablecoin USDe in the Web3 DeFi market.
Since it's a bear market, I'm jotting down observations of these projects and phenomena.
