Every transaction on Linea uses Ethereum’s ETH for fees. The LINEA token is not needed at all to use the network.

• LINEA is just a governance coin 🔻

It only lets holders vote on proposals. It has zero other job in the actual day-to-day operation of the blockchain.

• No value capture mechanism 🔻

The network generates real fees (from users paying in ETH), but none of that money flows back to LINEA token holders. The token gets nothing from the network’s success.

• Without fee capture, the token has no real economic tie to Linea’s growth 🔻
