For weeks, someone was quietly watching Jared.

Jared is one of the most famous MEV bots on Ethereum.

Since 2023, it has made money by sandwiching hundreds of thousands of trades.

It even front-ran one of Vitalik's swaps for a few dollars.

Jared never sleeps. It sees a profitable trade and acts instantly.

So someone decided to use that against it.

They created 66 fake tokens - fake WETH, fake USDC, fake USDT.

They also built fake liquidity pools that looked real enough to attract Jared.

Jared saw what looked like an easy profit and did what it always does - approved the contract and jumped in.

But it was a trap.

The tokens contained hidden backdoors.

After weeks of setting the bait, the attacker triggered all 66 at once and drained $7.5 million.

The bot that spent years extracting value from traders got caught by someone more patient than itself.

The lesson?

If your strategy is simply "see a signal, act immediately," you're not really thinking - you're just hoping you're not the next Jared.

JaredFromSubway is now offering a $1 million bounty for the full return of the $15 million that was drained from him earlier today.

Not sure how this ends, and he may very well be out of luck, but we'll see where this leads.
