Legible was. The second time it happened, the fix wasn't a company quietly patching a server. It was a Catch Up Package, submitted as a public proposal, and voted on by the network before it took effect. That vote isn't as decentralized as it sounds either, and the video doesn't leave that part out. Everyone's obsessed with TPS It's honestly only half the story Chains that are actually fast : @dfinity (ICP) : genuinely surprised us. 1,322 tx/s AND instant finality. That's a combo you almost never see at that scale. @Aptos (APT) : is quietly one of the most technically sound chains out there right now. 37ms block times, instant finality. Throughput hasn't caught up yet but the foundation is clearly built for it. @solana (SOL) : still wins on raw horsepower, 1,598 tx/s is nothing to scoff at. The only reason it's not #1 is that ~13 second finality window drags it down a bit. @BNBCHAIN (BNB) doesn't have any flashy headline number, but it's balanced across the board. Sometimes boring and consistent wins. @SuiNetwork (SUI) is fast, instant finality, tiny block times. Throughput is really the only lever left to pull here.

The source code for Multidex is here. My impressions so far. - Great work building in the open and attracting many-eyes to help find bugs! - Lots of bugs! 😄 They will be fixed. Dfinity are pros and many-eyes is helpful. - Some structural concerns, not as easily fixed as bugs. Still, I think most can be solved as we get data. - Some potentially showstopping concerns, that worry me a lot more. They are: Showstopper 1: Oracle risk. Multidex absolutely requires Chainlink to operate safely. Successful oracle manipulation could potentially be catastrophic for the DEX and its liquidity providers, and its current oracle solution is woefully inadequate. Showstopper 2: Subnet downtime risk. If the Multidex subnet goes down for 10 minutes during a market crash so liquidations fail to execute, the DEX can wake back up to being stuck with a lot of bad debt, that is taken first from the insurance fund and then from liquidity providers in the the AMM Vault. @CaptainICP Currently the thinking is that MULTI/DEX will direct accumulated treasury towards its internal insurance fund, and when that is big enough, burn ICP. There will be no owner.
