What stands out to me about STRK20 isn't privacy itself. It's the way privacy is being introduced. Most privacy solutions ask users to move into a separate ecosystem, use different assets, and learn a different workflow. STRK20 takes a different approach. Same assets. Same apps. Same Starknet. Privacy becomes a feature you can turn on when you need it. That design choice might matter more than the privacy technology itself.

Many people see Starknet as just an L2. But if you zoom out a bit, Starknet looks more like the convergence point of two research directions that have been evolving for over a decade. 2014: Zcash laid the foundation for private payments. 2018: STARKs introduced a way to prove the correctness of computation in a transparent manner while remaining secure against quantum computers. For years, these ideas mostly lived in research papers. Today, they are gradually becoming part of the same ecosystem on Starknet.
