    During the Aave bad debt situation Maple Finance facilitated >$800M of withdrawals from syrupUSDC/syrupUSDT. During this time Maple's Institutional loan book increased from 800M to 1Bn in loans outstanding. All loans are with well vetted Institutional counterparties and all loans remain overcollateralized with predominantly BTC as collateral under a fixed-rate and fixed-term loan structure. Not to bash DeFi but I do not see how it makes sense to deploy into DeFi protocols taking on long-tail risk for yields that do not beat SOFR. A mixture of treasuries, stablecoins and Institutional borrowers remains sufficient for a competitive yield whilst on-chain borrowing remains dormant. $SYRUP

    Good opportunity to buy projects that have 0 exposure to rsETH but got sold off anyways. Example: $SYRUP. Yes they saw outflows because naturally after a big exploit people will withdraw money. Over all Maple is in a good position since they are mostly institutional clients. One of the few DeFi Products I trust.
