Many participants who first encountered XDC Network through Surge Program may not yet be familiar with CGO token.

To explain it, let’s reference a clear slide by ComTech (@ComTechOfficial):

CGO is a token 100% backed by physical gold in the form of a standardized 1 kg bar of 999.9 purity, and it represents the price of one gram of gold.

CGO has become the fourth largest tokenized gold issuance globally, following PAXG and XAUT (as noted in research by FRNT @FRNT_Financial):

Although its price appears different from PAXG and XAUT, that’s mainly because those tokens represent one troy ounce, whereas CGO represents one gram.
