KRWQ isn’t the only signal from Korea. Back in January, Chainlink Labs formally joined GAKS, the Global Alliance for KRW Stablecoins, led by WEMADE, a platform with 600M+ users, alongside Chainalysis and CertiK for compliance and security infrastructure. KRW stablecoin trading volumes surged over 60% between mid-2024 and late 2025, and KRW stablecoins have begun appearing in everyday payments at major Korean retailers.
