Chiliz (CHZ)

I've seen a LOT of tokens come and go over the last 8.5 years in crypto.

Honestly can't even count the number of projects and tokens I've seen close up shop.

But there's a handful that didn't.

One of those is @Chiliz. I distinctly remember them launching about a year after I got into crypto and I was like wtf why does Chili's have a token...and then realized it wasn't the restaurant but instead a blockchain based on sports fandom.

Anyway, they've navigated the space for almost 7 years now and released their vision and expansion goals for 2030 and beyond today.

I think the most interesting piece is their lean into becoming the go-to comprehensive platform for sports-focused RWAs.

2026 and beyond will see a lot of cool experiments with RWAs as people figure out composable ways to tokenize real world asset ownership and revenue streams to unlock new financial engineering that previously wasn't possible.

Tokenizing merchandise revenue streams, licensing, and media rights from major sports franchises is one of those novel spots.

Just watched the Chiliz Vision 2030 stream and, honestly… SportFi is going to accelerate fast

What really stood out to me:

- A return to the U.S. in 2026 and entry into a $1T market. It's extremely hard for crypto projects to enter the U.S., but it's possible with the right regulatory approach

- Club tokens were the first step. Next up is the launch of national teams, which reach a much broader and more emotional audience. The World Cup could be a major catalyst

- The introduction of new gamified tokenomics: if the team wins, tokens are burned; if they lose, new tokens are minted. Tokenomics are now directly tied to real-time match results

- Flywheel → 10% of all Fan Tokens revenue generated across the ecosystem will be allocated to perpetual $CHZ buybacks. This creates a closed, "positive flywheel," where club activity generates fees that flow into buybacks and yield

A lot of genuinely strong updates within Chiliz Chain, especially the showcase of real-world sports RWAs
